Description
Three axons (green) with internal vesicle clouds (teal) that contain the neuron's neurotransmitter. One axon is enlarged and dystrophic (red), due to being filled with autophagosomal waste from AD progression. The vesicle clouds in the healthy axons are spherical, dense, and fill up most of the axon's terminal's volume.
